ART STUDIO 1 - Program of the gallery
The gallery ART STUDIO 1 was founded in 1990 and shows contemporary art with special focus on concrete and conceptual art. The program with exhibitions of internationally wellknown artists as Rupprecht Geiger, Raimer Jochims, Christina Kubisch, Lienhard von Monkiewitsch, Timm Ulrichs and Ludwig Wilding is complimented by the presentation of promising young artists as Susanne Fleischhacker, Daniel Hausig, Dirk Rathke or holders of the German Villa-Massimo-Scholarship Dieter Froelich, Bernd Hahn and Rainer Splitt.
The exhibition building of the ART STUDIO 1 was designed as a gallery and covers about 120 m² . During the summer period the extensive outdoor area is also used for exhibitions. Wulf Kirschner, Christina Kubisch, Rolf Nolden, HD Schrader, Piet Trantel, Timm Urichs and Rudolf Valenta have presented their sculptures and installations in this area.
In addition to exhibitions in the gallery at Deinste the ART STUDIO 1 organizes and manages exhibition projects for private and public institutions. For examples see "Projects".
The ART STUDIO 1 is member of BVDG, the German gallery association, and has been participating in national und international artfairs since 1992 (Art Frankfurt, RAI Amsterdam, Kunst Zürich).
